Learn how to support others
This website is the hub of our educational resources for families and caregivers. Here you will find a wealth of information, tools, and actionable advice to help you provide effective support to others while also tending to your own wellness. Knowing about mood disorders and treatment equips you to support your loved one and helps end the stigma of mental health conditions.
Our teen mental health webinar series covers topics such as teen depression, non-suicidal self-injury, substance use, and anxiety. Two webinars on bipolar disorder take viewers from the basics to more advanced issues for caregivers. Adult depression webinars cover stress management, mental health in the workplace, symptoms of depression, and more. You will also find webinars and other resources to help caregivers choose and use health insurance for mental health care.
Publications about bipolar disorder and depression combine educational content with personal stories so you get expert and first-hand perspectives on living with these mood disorders. Our 60-page handbook, Helping Someone Living with Depression or Bipolar Disorder, is jam-packed with information to help readers to be effective caregivers. Our newest publication provides information about suicide prevention specifically for family caregivers.
In Massachusetts, our in-person (or virtual) programming trains families to address stress and depression, teaches teens about seeking help, and dispels stigma surrounding mental health issues.
