A Campaign for Family Caregiver Mental Health

Family caregivers of people with a mood disorder give so much.

We want to remind caregivers that they can’t pour from an empty cup. It is vital that caregivers take care of their own physical, mental, and emotional health so that they don’t burn out. Our #GivingTuesday 2020 campaign is focused on just that–encouraging caregivers to #FillYourCup and practice good self-care.

We aim to:

  • Screen 1,000 people with our caregiver stress test
  • Teach caregivers new ways to practice self-care with our day of programming on December 1, 2020 (see schedule below)
  • Raise $5,000 to support our upstream suicide prevention programming for caregivers. Every little bit helps and we are excited to announce that the first $2,500 donated with be matched by our private donors!

Get Involved!

  • Take our free Caregiver Stress Test and invite others to do the same.

  • Follow our Facebook page, watch, and share our caregiver self-care activities recorded on Giving Tuesday.

  • Donate to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 (fundraiser ends December 6, 2020).

  • Use the hashtag #FillYourCup to let other people know about your participation!
