Caring for a family member with a mood disorder can be a challenging and often overwhelming experience. It’s important to remember that you are not alone and that there are resources, like our action plan, available. You and your family can navigate this difficult journey.

One of the most challenging aspects of caring for someone with a mood disorder is figuring out how best to support them through difficult times. This is something that can be done as a family. You’ll need to have open communication and a willingness to work together to find solutions.

Coming together with a plan

Fortunately, there are many strategies you can use to create a plan that will help you support your loved one. One such strategy is to watch our video, which outlines five manageable steps you and your family can take to develop a plan.

In addition to the video, you can download the “Making An Action Plan” template, which will guide you through the process and provide a framework for your discussions. The template will help you address a specific problem, consider who needs to be involved, and map out a plan for taking the next steps.

Remember that creating a plan is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing process that may require revisiting and revising over time. By working together and utilizing these resources, you can provide the best possible support for your loved one.
