Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women
October 8, 2007 (Columbus Day)
Noon in Boston
Please join our walking team (with Julie) or running team (with Rebecca) at the Tufts Health Plan 10K on Monday, October 8, 2007 in Boston.
Increase awareness of depressive disorders and raise money for Families for Depression Awareness (through your sponsors)
for essential programs that help families get well and prevent suicides.
If you'd like, you can honor a loved one through the 10K.

- Step One. Contact Rebecca at Rebecca@familyaware.org or call (781) 890-0220 and
let her know you are signing up. Let her know if you need help getting started.
- Step Two. Download our sponsor sheet here (to ask friends, employees, and family to sponsor you).
- Step Three. Register with Tufts at http://www.tuftshealthplan.com/tufts10k/index.php
online or download the registration form to mail (cost is $30 to register)
- Step Four. Ask people to sponsor you Use our sponsor sheet or go to
www.firstgiving.com to set up your own fundraising web page. See Julie's sample page
here. Email your friends, family, colleagues.
Men and women are allowed to walk/run and minors can come with parents or guardians. There is a kids "fun run" at 10:30 am.
The actual walk/run will start at noon, with warm-ups at 11:30. All children who walk must be registered and children in strollers are free,
but parents are encouraged to stay to the back of the pack to let others move forward faster.
After the walk:
- Collect your sponsorship money
- Make checks available to Families for Depression Awareness
- Write your name in memo of all checks
- Mail checks to Families for Depression Awareness, 395 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451
