Depression is the leading cause of suicide. And the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) just released a study in the February issue of Pediatrics showing that suicide rates in children under 19 years of age increased for the first time in a decade, to 18%, between 2003 and 2004.

You can help by letting people know about our Depression Wellness Guides, which explain to parents, teens, and adults what depression is, what treatment is, and how monitor their treatment to get well. You can get the guides at: www.familyaware.org.
