Coping with Stress will explore the signs and symptoms of stress, ways to reduce or alleviate it and tips for coping with stress in our daily lives. We will also discuss when it is more than stress - identifying and coping with anxiety and depression.
We live in a busy, fast-paced world where we encounter stress from many sources - from everyday strains, such as problems at work/school or relationships issues, to life-changing events, such as a family member's death or the loss of a job. Even happy events can cause stress, such as starting a new career, moving to a new home or welcoming a new baby.
Stress can make us feel physically ill, anxious and depressed. It can also cause problems in our relationships and impair our performance on the job or at school. Over the long term, stress can even lead to serious medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and depression.
Coping with Stress will feature presentations:

MBTA: Harvard Law School is easily accessible by subway via the Red Line of the MBTA (Harvard stop).
Parking: Parking is very limited near the Law School. The Alewife Parking Garage ($5) offers ample parking and is three stops from Harvard Square (on the MBTA Red Line).
